garbage in the forest

Hello, dear readers, in today's post I will tell you about garbage in the forest

A short explanation of why you should not throw away garbage

Landfills are designed to store waste responsibly. The forest is not such a place. Throwing garbage into the forest negatively affects plants and animals as well as entire forest ecosystems. A thrown can or bottle can be a deadly trap for insects that cannot get out of it. Eating humans will negatively affect the digestive system of forest animals. Meal packaging still smelling of food can kill an animal if it swallows it.

Wild waste dumps are dangerous because they may be a source of heavy metals that contaminate soil, groundwater and surface water.

Decaying garbage can also cause a fire because it produces gases that can cause spontaneous combustion. Harmful substances are also released into the atmosphere. They favor the growth of bacteria and dangerous fungi.

That's it for today's post, I hope you enjoyed reading it and remember, together we can change the world.

Xoxo Magda
