Such cosmetics are characterized by the use of natural ingredients of plant origin, minimizing the use of chemicals harmful to health and the environment, and are usually packaged in recyclable or biodegradable packaging.

- Natural Ingredients: Eco cosmetics use ingredients of plant origin, such as plant oils, herbal extracts, essential oils, waxes, plant flours and other natural substances.

- Avoiding Harmful Substances: These products typically eliminate or reduce the use of harmful chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, artificial colors and fragrances, silicones and SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate).

- Environmentally Friendly Packaging: Eco cosmetics companies often use recycled or biodegradable packaging to reduce their negative impact on the environment. They can also promote packaging minimization or use reusable packaging.
