Ecological aspects in Smart Cities

 Hello! 

Have you ever wondered what ecological aspects can be found in smart cities? 

If so, this post is for you! 

Today I will try to bring you closer to this topic and present - what exactly and where you can find them.

     1. Green Infrastructures

Many cities started to implement various solutions that can turn cities more greener, like building parks, green roofs, etc.

For example:

- Singapore and the “City in a Garden”

A project that aims turning Singapore into the city full of lush greenery and a clean environment to make life in the country and nation more enjoyable

- Bogotá and „Green Stops”

They built bus stops full of greenery.

     2.  Renewable energy 

In cities, there are increasingly build and used various renewable energy sources, such as solar panels or wind installations.

For example:

- Masdar City

It’s a city powered entirely by renewable energy, with solar and wind installations.

- Copenhagen

They are investing in wind farms, with plans to be carbon neutral by 2025.
